Update on SimianCro

   I Know that it has been very long time since I have posted on this blog. but if you watch the following videos you'll see that I have been some what busy.
The Video on the left there, is "Janey's Prom" probably not Academy award winning material, still  proud of it all the same. With this one I wrote this, re wrote and rewrote again. then moved to the process of Auditions casting, location, scheduling, catering, crew, etc.  it was exciting to do this process from my imagination to paper to filming to editing and having a finished product.

This one is "Mega Lotto Power Stones" I recently shot this mostly for the fact that I was going crazy with writing and wasn't shooting anything. This I thought I did everything "perfect", production wise, only to find that I still have much more learning to do.

This is "Acme Industries - Cool Breeze Suppositories" and yes, it's basically a toilet joke.
I did have fun green screening this one.

These are a few videos that I've done. they're not perfect and I looking to be perfect. I'm just learning. The end game is to make better quality short films and full features. Not only for me but for  anyone who watches. I'm still sticking to the sci-fi -horror genre, nothing has changed from that. I have finished a second draft of "Fun and Games"  with the logline: "The devil be damned" which I would like to shoot around Sept. 2014.
The story is about Stanley, A vicious criminal who beat the devil for his soul in a game of poker and now the devil wants a rematch. logline "Not all games are played on a poker table"

Blue Moon is still in development. this too has changed, logline: "His choice will be life changing"
and I'm leaning to making that a webisode type story.

I wish I could say that I'm making strides and that soon I'll have a sold a finished film to a major distributor and maybe I will, who knows. I still have much writing to accomplish, filmmaking to learn, editing,  audio and production but I will.

With "Who Killed Santa" up and running, I can return to finish and begin writing new scripts that I want to shoot beginning in spring, 2010.

I have always been a big fan of "The Outerlimits", (1963-65) I have the complete set of dvds. which gave a thought of creating a few scripts in that genre. at this writing I have completed 2 scripts and 3 on the fires.

The First is called "Fun and Games", definately a nod to the show, this one being a poker player, Jake, whose sole purpose is to be the best of the best and finding himself in a touranment that the winner is damned.

the next one, is "Saving Me" Phil, A 40-something, fights to free the child he imprisoned over 30 years ago, himself.

"Reboot" still in development, is a story of the lastest youth based craze. not in the too far future. brain surgery has become no longer a miracle, but a cosmetic surgery. technology has been made so the brain can be "rebooted" for intelligence, behavior modifications, treat addictions. and in latest to corner the consumer dollar "reboot plus" is the evolutionary cosmetic brain ehancement of cloning the client's brain to any age specific time and rebooted with the pervious knowlege and new enhancements....very popular with the age defying boomers.

"Soul Mates"- Also in develpement.

"Blue moon" in developement. about a war waging in our city with the Creatures of the Night.

"The Last Guardian" (title temporary) in developement

and "Beast" in developement. a homeless man hiding from the world because of the Curse he feels is upon him, comes to realize with the help of a medicine man that he isn't cursed but gifted and must learn how to control, use and harness the 5 animal spirits that dwell within and the ultimate Animal "Beast" that can save or destroy himself and the world.

After the Worst Snow Storm to hit Colorado in 12 years and being cabbed up for 2 dyas in the house....I had to get OUT!!
